Wine Country Residence
Napa, California
A ground-up cottage designed as a continuous environment rather than a sequence of rooms.
A ground-up cottage designed as a continuous environment rather than a sequence of rooms. Conceived as a weekend residence, the project balances spatial efficiency with material presence, allowing the home to feel composed without excess. Ceiling geometry and window placement establish the architectural framework, while a restrained palette of navy, walnut, aged brass, and white tile maintains continuity throughout. Custom-fabricated millwork, including continuous walnut edge detailing and a full-width headboard assembly, extends the architectural language into finer scale. Integrated systems support ease of use while remaining visually unobtrusive.
